Training with Deloitte London was fast pace.  I qualified as a Chartered Accountant and gained experience with a broad range of clients.  My role was varied within the audit, forensic, and corporate finance teams.  In just one quarter my work recovered unpaid royalties for ABBA, a well know charity obtain lottery funding and a media company unravel a £5m fraud.  The majority of my time was spent directing audits for UK entities and subsidiaries as well as advising them on strategy and procedures.  My last year or two were spent in Birmingham using my experience to monitor and train in audit quality.

Around 15 years ago I was offered a role with a Midlands based practice as 'Head of Corporate'.  It was an interesting mix of clients, work and practice management.  I led my new team to 'A-rated' status before joining the Professional Standards Department at the ICAEW as a QAD reviewer.
